We supply and install all types of wood flooring.
Remember wood is a natural product and will therefore vary in colour / knotting between planks. This is what makes wood so unique, that no two floors will look the same.
LAMINATES are good to use for general areas around the home when economy is important .
They look good and are hard wearing.
Laminate can be laid over existing wood floorboards or concrete floors using an appropriate underlayment and in the case of concrete a damp proof membrane also.
SOLID WOOD products are perfect for halls and living areas as they are warm and tactile creating a welcoming feel to your home.
These would be either glued direct to the sub floor in the case of concrete with a damp proof membrane painted on the floor first or hidden nailed if laid over floor boards.
Sometimes a smoothing screed or ply boarding may be required as well.
ENGINEERED products have a thick ply base board with a solid wood veneer surface.
This combination makes them very stable and suitable for conservatories and under floor heating where temperature variations can be a problem.
We would not recommend using this type of flooring in any wet areas of the home such
as kitchens -
